welcome, friend!

Since this is my first blog post on here, I just wanted to start off by saying: welcome! This blog has been something I have wanted to start for way too long. It’s been on my mind for about 6 years and I hate to admit that I let fear and doubt creep in and ruin it for me every time I went to hit ‘publish’. The voice in my head would say, “wow, this is just not good enough, and no one really cares” and so, I would never publish or share it. At least this time, I told my brother about it, so at the very least one person will read this!

In all seriousness, I am very excited to start writing my stories and sharing photos of our travels in the van. It was an unforgettable experience and I don’t want it all to be lost in the vastness of Instagram or other social platforms where comparison seems to be the name of the game. I want it all to live in its own special corner of the internet, one that’s all my own.

I’ll keep this one short and sweet, and leave you with a few words from Fitzgerald that have been resonating in my mind lately, and maybe something you need to hear today too?

We all have the courage inside us to start something new — so this is me ‘starting’ and thank YOU for being here.

For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.
